Friday, September 4 — Jazzercise on the Lawn, Cumming

Cumming City Center runs a free outdoor Jazzercise class on the lawn at the Lou Sobh Amphitheater. It is a low-commitment way to see what the City Center lawn actually feels like on a normal morning, which is more useful than any photo of it.
Saturday, September 5 — Free yoga at The Bowl, Sugar Hill

Every Saturday morning at The Bowl, Sugar Hill's downtown amphitheater. Free, outdoors, and spots fill up, so sign up ahead. Sugar Hill built The Bowl as the anchor of its downtown and this is the easiest way to use it.
Saturday, September 5 — Suwanee Farmers Market
8:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. · 421 Main St, Suwanee
At Town Center on Main and DeLay Nature Park. Note the address — the market is on Main Street, not at Town Center Park. Farmers and consumable goods only; no craft booths. Go early.
Sunday, September 6 — Labor Day Pig Out at Avalon, Alpharetta

What this has to do with the market
Here is what I notice doing this every week. The towns that keep building things like this — a lawn, an amphitheater, a market on Main Street — are the towns where people stay put. That shows up in how long homes sit before they sell. It is not the only thing that moves a market, and it is not a reason to buy or sell on its own. But it is real, and it is one of the reasons buyers keep choosing Suwanee, Sugar Hill and Cumming over places with more square footage per dollar.
